The North is not well known for their subtlety, and not much shows that better than a squad of heavily armed and armored gears pounding their way through the streets of a crowded warzone. This week’s Specialist Combat Group is the Dragoon UC Squad, consisting of some heavy metal monsters to pave the way, while removing the pavement.
Using Specialist Combat Groups in Heavy Gear Blitz!
Constructing a Specialist Combat Group is a bit different than a normal Blitz! combat group. Instead of picking the role and secondary role for the unit and filling it how you please, you must instead adhere to strict rules for composition, which may even include only running specific variants or upgrades. In exchange for adhering to this rigid formation, you may be able to run some models in a Role they may not normally fit in, or gain access to some unique options.These groups may not be given secondary roles, and are only able to be used in armies from the force they come from, unless noted otherwise. They may however have any upgrades permitted by army and sublist rules, so long as the composition requirements are still met.
North Dragoon UC Squad
While Dragoon Squads are typically equipped for heavy recon, some squads are designed specifically for urban combat, fighting in close quarters with punishing force.
Combat Group Composition:
This combat group must contain between 4 and 6 gears, chosen from the following list:
1 Thunder Rabid Grizzly
Must be the Combat Group Leader.
1-2 Razorbacks (Any Variant)
2-4 Strike Cheetah
Combat Group Rules:
Armored Might: Models in this group may purchase the Field Armor Veteran Upgrade, without being upgraded to Veterans.
The combat group is the SK role, regardless of the role of any of its members.
This combat group may be used in any Northern army.
