Midnight and Eclipse

Dangar Pirates!

Daze of Futures Past
The following transmission was intercepted from the CP-04/4748.6 gate on 1 Spring by a deep-space listening post. Its point of origin is unknown—it could not have come from Terra Nova, yet consists of a series of what seem to be bizarre jokes that only make sense if written from a Terra Novan perspective. Wolfe in the science division suggests that this transmission may originate in an alternate universe and entered our own through foldspace, but I think he’s been drinking too much Fort James Special. This is clearly some sort of strange hoax, but further investigation into the reason behind its existence may be warranted. –J. Pliatikos, Talon Intelligence Command, 5 Spring 1954

Rations of Terra Nova
Given the prevalence of advanced, portable field kitchens and the use of landships as mobile supply bases, field rations carried by individual soldiers are considered more of a temporary, supplementary measure by Terra Novan militaries. This has resulted in their quality and composition tending to vary wildly based on the producer. Aside from a disastrous attempt at Interpolar standardization during the War of the Alliance with the Ration Unit, Daily (RUD), the Leagues have largely stuck to the own idiosyncratic attempts at achieving optimal nutrition.

[Read More]Maximum Firepower: A Newcomer’s Guide to Heavy Gear RPG’s Weapons
With the recent release of Heavy Gear RPG 4th Edition, players have a huge arsenal to customize their gears. This guide is meant to help new players and Directors/GMs sort through the weapons list, letting you pick ones that fit your character concept or design a satisfying fight!
A few notes before we begin:
With so many weapons available, it is fine (and expected) if you need to read this guide more than once. One fun way to learn is to pick out a few weapons at a time, then ‘sandbox test’ them by putting a mini on the table and rolling dice with them in various practice scenarios.
