The RPG Core Book and Future Content Plans

I wanted to talk about some future stuff for Heavy Gear and especially how it’ll interact with the upcoming RPG article. If you missed it, Robert Dubois gave an interview with Zerosum716 over all things Heavy Gear. You totally need to check that out (33:48ish). Zerosum716 does great work.
In this interview they talk about new releases and Robert drops that we are doing New Jerusalem next and that they are in active development. I wanted to get out and talk about how this new faction for Heavy Gear Blitz will interact with the RPG.
Short answer, it doesn’t at least as far as the core book is concerned. New Jersualem’s arrival into the universe is part of the story going forwards. We will be giving them a proper fluff treatment and such in the first RPG expansion. That expansion (which we are tentatively calling Heavy Gear Universe) will cover the advancing storyline using a format like the old storyline books. However we are expanding those to include narrative content for Blitz, new RPG mechanics and there will be a Field Guide that covers New Jerusalem and some other new toys. No news on timeline for the release of that, got to get the core book out the door first.

This is all we have now although if you drop over to discord you may find me dropping hints and teasers and we can talk about Ted. Worry not though, the time will come when we will Initiate everyone into the secrets of what is coming.
