Peace River Anti Rover Blockade Squad

Rovers are a constant threat to Peace River forces and their interests in the Badlands. To fight this menace, specialized anti-rover squadrons are put together. Fitted with ECM Spectre upgrades with enhanced jamming capabilities, Anti Rover Blockade Squads shut down the communication equipment of the enemy rovers, before isolating and destroying the individual threats.

Using Specialist Combat Groups in Heavy Gear Blitz!

Constructing a Specialist Combat Group is a bit different than a normal Blitz! combat group. Instead of picking the role and secondary role for the unit and filling it how you please, you must instead adhere to strict rules for composition, which may even include only running specific variants or upgrades. In exchange for adhering to this rigid formation, you may be able to run some models in a Role they may not normally fit in, or gain access to some unique options.

These groups may not be given secondary roles, and are only able to be used in armies from the force they come from, unless noted otherwise. They may however have any upgrades permitted by army and sublist rules, so long as the composition requirements are still met. Restrictions on the number of a specific variant apply as normal, for example, if a Specialist Combat Group is taken in the SK role, then model variants without SK+ may only be taken twice.

Peace River Anti Rover Blockade Squad

Anti-Rover Blockade Squads are used by the Peace Officer Corps during anti-rover operations in the Peace River Defense Zone. These units are often used to capture key points on the battlefield to disrupt rover gang movements. They can also serve as an anvil, breaking enemies that other units herd into their fire zones. Pitbulls make up the bulk of these units although a Valence is included to remove obstacles as well as a Mustang for heavy fire. The team is coordinated by a POC officer in Greyhound.

Combat Group Composition:

This combat group must contain between 4 and 6 gears, chosen from the following list:

  • 0-1 Greyhound

    • Must be CGL if taken.

  • 1-2 Mustangs

  • 0-4 Pit Bulls

  • 0-2 Valence

Combat Group Rules:

  • Spectre Upgrade: Mustangs and Valence may improve their EW to 5+ and be equipped with ECM and Sensors:24 (Aux) for +1TV.

  • Enhanced Jammers: Greyhounds and models with the Spectre Upgrade may purchase Enhanced Jammers for +1TV. When a model with this upgrade performs ECM:Jam, then the model gains -1 TN for the ECM:Jam.

  • The combat group is the SK role, regardless of the role of any of its members.

  • This combat group may be used in any Peace River army.
